What is the Passion Play?
The Passion Play is an interactive indoor and outdoor walk-through experience for the entire family, depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
When is the Passion Play
This year’s play is held on April 4, 2026.
Do I need a ticket to attend?
Although there are no physical tickets, a reservation for your party is required to attend, in order to right-size the number of people in a rotation. We ask that you only reserve the number of spots needed for your immediate family. We do not take group reservations.
How should I dress?
The Passion Play is a walking indoor and outdoor event. Dress accordingly for the expected weather for the day. If rain is forecasted, plan to bring an umbrella.
Is the play accessible by those needing mobility assistance?
Most of the play can be navigated via wheelchair or other assistive device. Please note we are unable to provide assistive support during or after the play, however, there is a vehicle pick-up location near the Hospitality Tent, outside the final scene.
No golf carts, scooters, bikes, or other wheeled forms of recreational transportation are allowed during any rotation.
How can I volunteer?
The Passion Play happens because of people just like you! From the cast to supporting staff like construction workers, seamstresses, parking attendants, sound and lighting technicians and much more, we know there’s a spot for you to be part of telling the Story.
Where is the play located?
The Passion Play is located on the campus of Andrews University and begins at the Howard Performing Arts Center. Please enter via the Garland Ave. (stop light) entrance.

This event is made possible through the thoughtful donations from people just like you!
