The Passion Play is put on by members of the local community. Our volunteers include students, families, church and community members, and more! Anyone may volunteer, but parents, if your child under 18 is volunteering, you will need to complete the volunteer registration.
Roles
Volunteer roles include auditioned and non-auditioned cast (acting), our Marketplace shop keepers, as well as support staff for event coordination. Choose the role that’s the right fit for you. Whatever your gifts, there’s likely a place just for you!
Auditioned Cast
These roles require an audition:
Auditioned Roles: Jesus, John, Peter, Pilate, Judas, Thief on Cross, Mary Mother of Jesus, Mary Magdaline, Salome, Angel at Gethsemane, Cooreographed Angels (Resurrection), Child (Opening Scene)
Non-Auditioned Cast
Although these roles do not require an audition, you will be asked to attend rehearsals.
Non-Auditioned Roles: Non-speaking Disciples, Malchus, Soldiers, Mobsters, Believers, Priests
Marketplace
We encourage churches or families to sponsor a Marketplace shop. We’ll provide your shop structure, and you staff and organize the shop. Some minor acting is involved as you engage with guests.
You are not required to attend all rehearsals, but will need to attend a final dress rehearsal.
Supporting Staff
These roles range from planning and organizing, to setup and implementation in preparation for the play.
Support staff roles: Leadership, volunteer and ticket coordination, scene construction setup, and more!
